Welcome to my journey
As a former basketball athlete with 12 years of experience on the court, I understand the unique challenges athletes face—both mentally and physically.
I discovered the transformative power of yoga during my time as an athlete, and it changed everything for me.
Growing up, I was passionate about basketball. I loved the game, but I struggled with the emotional and mental pressures that come with competitive sports and high expectations from my parents. I often felt overwhelmed, unsure of how to manage my emotions and build the self-confidence necessary to excel. After some time, I decided to step away from basketball and continue exploring the world through studying and traveling.

Through my yoga practice, I learned valuable techniques that helped me improve my performance, both in sports and in life. I discovered how to understand my emotions, how to work with my body, breathe effectively, focus my mind, and cultivate a positive mindset. This newfound awareness helped me to navigate life's challenges with greater ease.
I realized that many athletes, like myself, could benefit from these practices. That’s why I created the Yoga for Basketball Players program. This unique program combines my love for basketball with the insights I’ve gained from yoga. It’s designed to improve mobility, flexibility, and stability while also addressing the mental aspects of performance. I want to share those traditional yoga tools and techniques that have helped me, so you can reach your full potential on and off the court.
If you’re ready to elevate your game and embrace a more balanced life, I’d love to connect with you. Together, we can unlock your potential and navigate the pressures of athletic life.

A Life Shaped by Sport
Basketball was my world for 12 years—a place of competition, discipline, and team spirit. Growing up in a family where sport was everything, I attended a high school for athletes. My brother played baseball, and my life revolved around basketball until the age of 21. I thrived in this environment for a while basketball was pure just so much fun. But then, I joined a new team, and everything changed.
The Pressure of Performance
I couldn’t find my rhythm. My love for the game began to fade under the weight of performance pressure, from my coach, my parents, and even myself. I knew I had talent (though let’s be clear, not like Michael Jordan :D), but I felt stuck in a cycle of stress and constant pressure to succeed. I didn’t have anyone to talk to, and soon, I started to see myself as a loser. The fun aspect disappear.
This isn’t a unique story. Many athletes face this.
The difference is knowing how to manage the pressure, which I didn’t. I thought quitting was the only way out. I used to think my worth as a person was defined by my performance and skills as a basketball player.
Now I realize how little those things truly matter.
Everyone has value just for being who they are not because of how good they are at sports or how much money they have. Those things are so relative anyway.
Team Spirit and Ego
In team sports, finding the balance between personal goals and the team’s success can be tricky. There were times I sat on the bench, waiting for the last few minutes of a game, and that’s just part of the team sport. But by then, the stress had already taken over, and my confidence was shaken. Now, I see how crucial mental preparation is something I later discovered through yoga.
The Power of Self-Management
Whether you’re young, a professional athlete, or an amateur, stress is a part of life. But through yoga, I’ve discovered ways to manage it, feel grounded, and stay connected to my purpose. I realized that the challenges we face don’t define us; how we handle them does. As we often say, yoga isn’t just a work-out—it’s a work-in. It helps us disconnect from the outside world, turn inward, and see things more clearly.

Discovering a New Path
After I left basketball, I knew there was more to life than just sports. I explored different careers, studying international relations and working in Spain, Nicaragua, New York, Malta, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bali,.. These experiences opened my eyes to new possibilities, and I started shaping my own path.
The Journey into Yoga
Yoga entered my life at a time when I needed it most. Initially, it was just a personal practice, but soon people began asking me to teach them. I completed my first yoga teacher training in power yoga and realized that yoga was the balance I had been searching for- the combination of physicality, mindset, and spirituality is something I love to share.
A Deeper Dive
To deepen my knowledge, I traveled to Bali, where I studied under Indian and Balinese teachers. This experience was transformative, so stayed even longer to learn as much as I can. It felt like I had discovered an approach to life, feeling happier, healthier, more balanced. I found an upgraded way of living at 30—things I wished I had known back in my basketball days. I was inspired to share these insights with others, knowing they could change lives.
And don’t get me wrong, I’m not claiming to have any miracles that can change someone’s life. It’s more about the tools I’ve learned along the way that have helped me feel more at ease with myself, understand who I am, and navigate everyday challenges better.
Teaching Across the world
My teaching journey took me to Australia, where I taught yoga and pilates, organizing yoga retreats across Australia and Bali.
While I loved connecting with people and sharing yoga’s benefits, the focus on performance and gymnastic-style practice in Australia didn’t resonate with me. I knew I needed to take care of myself and stay true to my path.
Continuing the Mission
Today, my mission is clear: to help athletes through yoga, both in person and online. I work with those who are open to learning, who need support on their journey, and who are ready to grow.
I’m deeply grateful for every step of my journey and for all the inspiring people I’ve met along the way. A big thank you to my family, friends, and all the angels who are supporting me throughout my journey.
